The V4DIS 2010 Conference for the seventh time in April 2010

The V4DIS 2010 conference--continuation of V4DIS project running from the 2004 and aimed at use of ICT in public administration and services, the V4DIS project main objective is to act as a platform for presentation of new and interesting projects as well as exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of e-government, e-tourism and other related areas. Introduction of Visegrad and Community possibilities of the financing of eTourism projects is also integral part of each annual conference.

The V4DIS (Visegrad Four for Developing Information Society) 2010 will follow the aims declared in the program of the Hungary presidency of Visegrad Group in the area of developments and implementation of information and communication technologies in public services.

The main event will be a conference held in the days of 11--13 April 2010 (Hradec Kralove, CZ).

It will contribute to the fulfillment of mentioned priorities which are connected with development of information society at the municipal and regional levels and the cooperation among towns and regions of all V4 countries.

The main topic is the financing of eTourism projects, particularly from structural and Community sources and advantages of cooperation among above mentioned regions and municipalities, either through the existing (or planned) partnership or ad-hoc consociation of interested parties. Other topics are: comparation of the e-government developement, e-tourism, and, of course, cooperation and exchange of the best practices in these areas.

Traditional aim of the project also is to secure wider participation of young, talented people in public affairs through the special competition of teenage talents--programmers, webdesigners, etc. Traditional working meeting of the delegates from Ministries of Interior is being prepared too.

Other thematic area of the conference will be communication and information strategies for getting more efficient exchange of information between Visegrád countries with stress on utilization of possibilities of municipal Webs, and promotion and utilization of information sources of the Visegrad Group etc.

Expected contributions and positive stimulation will also result from the EuroCrest Award dedicated to the best municipal and regional e-services.
