Already the ninth year of the Conference V4DIS (Visegrád Four for Developing Information Society) that took place simultaneously with the 15th year of the Conference ISSS in the days of 1–3 April 2012 is over. A working meeting of the representatives from public administration from V4 countries was very popular this year as well and a number of foreign guests took part in it – the most numerous delegation came as usual from Slovakia, but there were also a number of representatives from public administration from Poland as well as Hungary, and there did not lack either experts at informatization from Sweden or representatives from the European Commission. Besides the organizing association Czech At, other partners from all V4 countries took part in the preparation of the whole event–University of Hradec Králové, Prague City Hall, Union of Towns of Slovakia, Moldava upon Bodva, town Karcag (Hungary) and Alfa-Omega Foundation, towns Radkow and Rybnik and district Swidnica (Poland). Project Local Digital Agenda in the V4 Countries–V4 web (Strategic grant of the International Visegrad Fund)
The programme schedule of the coming conference V4DIS 2012 will not lack information about the project Local Digital Agenda in the V4 Countries (LDA) which has been in progress already since the second half of the year 2011. The International Visegrad Fund takes part in the realization of this project in the form of a strategic grant and it is aimed mostly at presentation of successful e-government projects in CR in the context of European as well as national strategies and at the mutual exchange of experience. The project by all means includes also discussions about further development of electronization of public administration in the V4 countries, comparison of key items in the national strategies and programmes and definition of opportunities for further development as well as planning further steps and support as well as promotion of the working cooperation at the level of Visegrad countries. In the days of 2–3 April 2012, parallel with the programme of the 15th year of the Conference ISSS, there will be held already for the ninth time also a working meeting of the representatives of public administration of the Visegrad Four countries – the Conference V4DIS (Visegrad Four for Developing Information Society). This event has become an inseparable part of a long-term project that began in 2004 and is aimed at use of information and communication technologies in public administration and self-government of V4 countries, development of modern electronic services for citizens, exchange of experience and presentation of chosen projects. The auspices of the V4DIS conference 2012
The auspices of the V4DIS conference have been assumed by Premysl Sobotka, 1st Vice-President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
Within another year of the international contest for the young creators of Web pages, JuniorErb (JuniorCrest) there have been held this year also several regional rounds in the Czech Republic and the jury was choosing from a higher number of nominations than in the previous years. The national round winner of JuniorErb was finally chosen and it is David Lupáč with an internet project Where to in the Litoměřice area. (more)
Simultaneously with the programme of the 14th year of the Conference ISSS (Internet in the Public Administration and Self-government) there was held already the eighth year of the international Conference V4DIS (Visegrad Four for Developing Information Society) in the days of 4–5 April in the Congress Centre Aldis in Hradec Králové (Czech Republic). At the Conference V4DIS there yearly meet representatives of public administration of the Visegrad Four countries and this event is part of a long-term project that began in 2004 and is aimed at use of information and communication technologies in the entire field of public administration, implementation of modern electronic services for citizens, exchange of experience and presentation of the top projects and that is within a broader central European context. Traditionally the Conference V4DIS 2011 is supported by the International Visegrad Fund and in its gala opening there took part its executive director Petr Vágner. (more)
