JuniorErb 2011 has got its winner

Within another year of the international contest for the young creators of Web pages, JuniorErb (JuniorCrest) there have been held this year also several regional rounds in the Czech Republic and the jury was choosing from a higher number of nominations than in the previous years. The national round winner of JuniorErb was finally chosen and it is David Lupáč with an internet project Where to in the Litoměřice area.

The contest, which is yearly announced by the associations Together and Czech At and whose main aim is to make young internet enthusiasts get involved into the course of events in the area of public administration, evaluates Web pages connected with a certain municipality, town or region and that is including Web pages of local sports clubs, schools, hobby groups or Web pages that in some way expand or complement existing Web pages of municipalities, towns or regions.

David Lupáč (18 years old) comes from Libochovice and he has studied a subject of Information Technology at the Secondary School of Electrotechnics and Communication in Ústí nad Labem for three years. He is interested especially in computer networks, databases, programming and webdesign. It has been exactly the "networks" where he has managed to get the biggest success in the field of IT so far when he won a national round of the contest Cisco NAG in a team together with his friends and as an individual he reached the third place. In his free time he is fond of cinematography. The project "Where to in the Litoměřice area" belongs to his so far most extensive work in the area of internet. It provides general tourist information about the region in which the visitors themselves can also take part.

• Radosław Dziadosz for the Web of the school Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Adama Mickiewicza w Strzyżowie.
• Maciej Bis for the Web of the town Stalowa Wola.

The successful participants of this year JuniorErb contest presented their projects also at the Conference ISSS 2011 and took over the awards from the hands of the first vice-president of the Senate of the Parliament of CR Přemysl Sobotka.
