V4DIS 2015 in preparations along with project partners

The V4DIS (Visegrad Four—Developing Information Society) 2015 project will be covered through the Autumn 2014 and Spring of 2015 and will climax at ISSS/V4DIS conference from 13th to 14th of April 2015 in Hradec Kralove (CZ).

Main objective of e-tourism section is to contribute to the development of e-tourism at the municipal level. Research of the municipal websites and its evaluation according to the well-proven methodics, as well as promotion of involvement citizens in propagation of places of interests will be preliminary phase. During the meeting in Hradec Kralove presentations will be held to introduce different communication and information strategies of local governments and speeches by representatives of universities, NGOs and regions will present contemporary view on the problematic. Things searched by possible visitors (and feedback from departing visitors) should be primary interest of every touristic department thinking seriously about e-tourism, so statistics and opinions will be presented by statistical offices along with the suggestions. Conference visitors will meet and discuss the issues of the development and implementation of new methods. Aims will be fulfilled by blocks of speeches and presentations introducing solutions used by speakers’ organizations or their future plans, propositions etc. Speeches will be followed with time for questions and discussions.

Previous years have shown that exchange of information among the representatives from V4 countries, who are sharing similar target groups of potential tourists is invaluable as the local specifics and conditions (e.g. in crossborder microregions) usually share similar problems and are stronger in cooperation, which also brings the best expenses/benefit ratio for parties involved.
