Conference V4DIS already for the fourteenth time

Simultaneously with the national conference ISSS there was held the traditional international conference V4DIS (Visegrad Four for Developing Information Society) already for the fourteenth time in the days of 3—4 April 2017. Meeting of the public administration representatives from the Visegrad Four countries once again welcomed a number of significant guests not only from the Visegrad region, but also from other European countries.

The official auspices of the conference were granted by the Senator Miloš Vystrčil and the Committee on Public Administration, Regional Development and the Environment of the Senate of the Parliament of CR. The event was as usual attended by public administration representatives from the V4 countries and many local as well as foreign experts focused on the issue of society informatization and public administration reform.

Foreign guests of the conference met already on Sunday evening in the Klicpera theatre in Hradec Králové where the Vice President of the Košice Region, István Zachariaš, took over an award for a longtime cooperation. Ján Ferenčák, the lord mayor of Kežmarok City took part in the discussion during the Monday gala opening and an active part in the conference programme was taken also by a number of their colleagues from public administration of Slovakia including the secretary-general of the Union of Towns and Cities of Slovakia Milan Galanda as well as partners from Hungary that were among others represented by deputies from the municipality of the capital Budapest (Atilla Ughy, Budapest XVIII) or administrative department Karcag.

The main organizer of the V4DIS meeting was Association Czech At, co-organizer was again as already for many times before the Vysočina Region and the event’s overall concept was significantly shared by the cities Hradec Králové and Prague. The programme V4DIS 2017 included besides the usual accompanying events of the conference ISSS also awarding of the participants of the competition of young talents, JuniorErb (JuniorCrest), who received memorial certificates of the Senate of the Parliament of CR from the hands of the Senator Miloš Vystrčil, President of the Vysočina Region, Jiří Běhounek and the director of the conference ISSS/V4DIS Tomáš Renčín.
