The conference V4DIS 2008 again in early April in Hradec Kralove

In early April (6--8 April, 2008) there will be held already for the fifth time the conference V4DIS (Visegrad Four for Developing Information Society). Within the conference there will be already traditionally held a meeting of the working teams of the Visegrád Four countries.

The first year of this prestigious conference supported by the International Visegrád Fund was held in 2004 and ever since it has shown remarkable popularity with representatives of public administration, self-governments as well as deputies of associations of municipalities and regions from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary and even from a number of other countries which border on Visegrad region.

Participants of the previous years of V4DIS conference appreciated particularly an opportunity to exchange experience in the area of informisation of public administration-- mainly with respect to the fact that in case of V4 countries, these are the countries with common historical development, similar economic potential and equal position within the European Union. The significance of this event was in a similar way appreciated also by the President of Senate of the Parliament of CR Premysl Sobotka, under whose personal auspices the past two years had taken place.

The conference will be held concurrently with the 11^th year of the international conference ISSS/LORIS, which is one the most significant gathering of representatives of public administration and self-governments with experts on informisation of society and providers of modern technologies and services in Europe.
